When Netter Digital Entertainment (the producer of the acclaimed “Babylon 5” primetime sci-fi series) approached Foggia Public Relations, this 17-year-old company had mounted its initial public offering only months before.  It was now critical to distinguish NDEI from the mass of independent production companies that orbit the entertainment industryin Los Angeles.

Through extensive interviews with the founders, Foggia was able to uncover and present their unique DNA – which included such history-making technology breakthroughs as the first all-virtual studio and use of desktop computers and off-the-shelf software to produce what had been cost-prohibitive CGI special visual effects for television.

In 1988, Tyee Productions revolutionized the direct response television industry by pioneering the high-end, long-form format with the debut of a 30-minute show for Soloflex, which went on to win numerous awards.  They were also the first to promote a corporate image while selling product, present the pitch within an entertaining format, offer a two-step sales approach, incorporate a three-act story narrative and stand-up comedy, shoot on film, and use a highly-skilled production team.

Even so, when the infomercial industry exploded into a media phenomenon several years later, the landscape was so littered with start-ups that Tyee was getting lost in the clutter.  So their publicist, Serling & Associates, commissioned a comprehensive media kit from Foggia Public Relations – which Serling then used to score major write-ups in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times, among other outlets.
