Th e Group, a selfhelp book authored by four Vero Beach women, is an excellent
example of how productive true friendship can be. Rebecca Carswell, Mirja Heide, Tiffany Kaharick and Amy Mead—each an educated, intelligent, imaginative, ambitious woman—became friends several years ago. They soon realized that while they came from different backgrounds and were involved in different vocations, they had much in common. In addition, they became
such close friends that they soon became invested in seeing each other succeed. To accomplish this, they formed The Group—capital letters intentional. The book’s subtitle is An Amazing Way to Achieve Success, Happiness & Extraordinary Relationships—and that spells it out.
