A girl in a red hoodie, a runaway, on the streets of Portland for just one day, buys a ticket back home at a train station, then lights a cigarette while studying the train schedule. A beat later, a young man with closely shorn hair and a nose ring asks the girl for a smoke.
As he leaves, they share a long look. A new decision is made – and the girl’s fate is sealed.
